Admin chat

An admin chat is a chat about an agent rather than with it. Instead of opening the settings panel and changing fields yourself, you describe what you want and the change is made for you.

You get one automatically when you create an agent. You can open more at any time from the agent.

What it can change

In an admin chat the assistant can:

  • Rename the agent, rewrite its instructions, change its default model, turn capabilities on or off, and adjust max steps.
  • Create, update and delete schedules.
  • Enable or disable one of your organization's integrations for this agent.

It cannot delete the agent — that stays a deliberate action in the settings panel.

Every change needs your approval

Nothing is applied silently. When the assistant wants to change a setting it shows you exactly what it intends to change, and waits for you to Approve or Reject. Rejecting leaves the agent untouched and you can explain what you would rather have instead.

The settings panel

Admin chats show the agent's settings pinned beside the conversation, so you can watch settings change as you talk, or edit any field directly. Both routes do the same thing — use whichever suits the change.

Connecting accounts from the chat

If you ask for something that needs an account you have not connected yet, the assistant offers a button to connect it right there. After you finish signing in with the provider you come back to the same chat and it carries on.

Connecting an account requires the Admin role.

Who can use it

Opening an admin chat requires the Admin role in the organization. Editors can create and use ordinary chats and agents, but not reconfigure them this way. See teams and roles.

When to use which

Use the settings panel when you know the exact field you want to change. Use an admin chat when you would rather describe the outcome — "only email me about invoices over 500 euros" — and let it work out which settings that means.
